And it does need some TLC.
Bottom paint is 5 years old which at the time Shaft bearing and Strut were replaced.
Fridge compressor not working.
Universal Westerbeke 30HP 3 cylinder Diesel engine is in great shape. Starts right up. Never had an issue.
Interior is good for its age and original. Was Never a live aboard.
Has been sailed regularly.
Berthed in Berkeley Marina.

Pearson sailboats are known for their superior build quality and durability. They can handle a stiff breeze but are still responsive in light air. We've taken her through the keys and back, across Long Island Sound, and into Coastal Atlantic.
We bought the boat from the second owner, who used her almost exclusively for club racing in Long Island Sound and some minor weekend cruising.
The boat was always well maintained and hauled out every winter until moving down to Florida.
Since purchasing her, we've made improvements and major refits; these upgrades have made SV Livewire an excellent pocket cruiser, and she's ready to explore the keys and beyond. I am sad to see her go, but our family is growing, and the boat has become too small for us.

PRICE DROPPED ON APRIL 29. FIRST 1700 TAKES IT! First the bad. I updated to a hinge where the mast meets the boat. When I brought the mast down it the mast leaned enough to damage the base plate. Also, the cable running from the top of the mast to the front is short due to the new base height. Now the good stuff. pumps work, interior lights work, many new lines bough last year, a NEW FRONT SAIL bought last year.

Standard features
A stock 26S MacGregor is a nice boat but this MacGregor has been heavily modified for cruising and has been used for a single handed 3 month 1300 mile trip to the Bahamas and numerous other extended trips.
Boat is light on the modified trailer but sails well. You can easily pull the boat to anywhere there is a road. Launches and retrieves easily. Perfect for lake and coastal sailing. Maybe the most versatile boat there is in the 20 to 28 foot range.
This 1990 MacGregor Classic 26S is an excellent sailboat (this is not the high HP X or M that are also power boats).

ALTHEA is an exceptionally well equipped, cutter rigged, Pacific Seacraft Crealock 34. I am retiring from sailboat cruising, but Althea is not and is ready for more adventures. I have owned the boat for 17 years. I routinely sailed to the Channel Islands and Catalina Island while berthed in Oxnard, CA. I single handed the boat to Puerto Vallarta, MX and my son and I sailed the boat to Hawaii and back. Since moving to WA, I have extensively cruised the Salish Sea in both the US and Canada. The Crealock 34 is a sturdy, capable, and safe boat, heavily built, with a solid fiberglass hull, a long fin keel, and a skeg hung rudder. Topside features include a hard top dodger with canvas sides, a robust anchoring system, three solar panels, a radar pod, a wind machine, a steering windvane, an autopilot, and a remote VHF radio controller. Both the genoa and stay sail are on roller furlings and all control lines lead back to the cockpit. The pedestal has the usual compass, wind speed and direction, boat speed, and depth displays as well as a folding table. The V berth sleeps two and has storage below and in shelves along each side. There is a vented clothes locker across from the bathroom. The main cabin has a settee on each side with a large folding table in between. The port side settee converts to a bed which sleeps two. The starboard side settee can sleep one. A cabin heater is mounted on the forward bulkhead. The kitchen has a two burner stove, a double sink, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a cutting board, a waste basket, and lots of storage. There is located a compass, a VHF radio, a single side band radio, a small GPS chart plotter, and an AIS receiver display alongside or on the navigation table. The display for the radar and chart plotter is mounted on a fixture which allows the display to be swung out into the cockpit. There is room behind the navigation station for a single sleeping berth or equipment storage.

She has no refrigerator, which means your power demands are minimal. Keep the lights and the VHF on and crank some tunes while you sail it's hard to run out of juice on this boat. On cloudy days, while your neighbors in the anchorage are running generators to keep their cheddar cheese cold, you'll be free as a bird. Chasing gasoline to feed the generator to fuel the batteries to run the compressor is someone else's game.
Theres no power usage to get water and no pressurized water system to spring leaks and no water pump to run and run and deplete your electric bank. Her galley glows with warmth and functionality, from the mahogany butcher block countertop to the brass sink and three-burner stove. Two 20-pound propane tanks mean you have months of cooking fuel on hand, and always a tank in reserve.
She is powered by a Kubota V-1305 four cylinder diesel after she was repowered in 2021 (used) and consumes a meager .6 gallons per hour while running at cruising speed. She has two 35-gallon black iron fuel tanks that need to be replaced.
All of her lighting has been converted to energy-efficient LED. There are USB power outlets belowdecks and in the cockpit.

Deck & Hull
The hull and deck are hand laid solid fiberglass. The deck is balsa cored for additional strength and stiffening. The keel configuration is a long keel with interior centerboard.
The three bladed-fixed prop is protected in an aperture. The rudder is a balanceo semi-skeg.
Optional features include extra height teak toe rails and a teak rub-rail with polished stainless steel striker. The stemhead fittings and all chocks are custom castings and highly polished. There are two teak dorade boxes with polished stainless steel dorades and polished stainless steel guards.
Lifelines are double and have opening gates both port and starboard.
Whether cruising on a beam reach or sailing close hauled, the large cockpit offers safety, comfort and protection from the elements. High coamings make for a nice deep cockpit with comfortable backrest. The flat, teak capped, wide coaming tops offer extra seating and sure footing. Traveling fore and aft is safe and easy with the wide side decks, high bulwarks, tall stanchions and coach roof mounted handrails. The flat, open bow offers generous room for deploying the anchor, sun bathing or changing the sails. The bimini has screens and is tall enough to permit easy standing as well as ingress/egress for the cockpit.

In 2008 we bought this great boat. Shes a 1992 Hunter Passage 42 as comfortable to live on as she is fun to sail.
First we sailed her on the Gulf Coast then in 2012 we followed our dream and sailed to the Caribbean. Weve been sailing and living aboard her until now.. We feel its time to let someone else Live the Dream.
Shes totally set up for cruising, in fact, were still aboard. In November she was hauled out for some TLC and had her bottom repainted with Pettit Trinidad. For ease of handling all lines come to the large center cockpit.

The Bristol 29.9 has a spacious and cozy interior that can sleep up to six people. The boat has two factory cabin layouts that were available, differing in the galley location. In one layout, the galley is located on the port side of the main cabin, opposite the dinette settee that converts into a double berth. In the other layout, the galley is located aft on the starboard side, next to the navigation station and the quarter berth. The boat has plenty of storage space in lockers, drawers, and shelves throughout the cabin. There are ten cabin ports, four of which open. We ve been sailing in this boat for almost 3 years. We are the second owners, the first one and builder from Switzerland, who put together this boat in 7 years using the best materials possible. He upgraded the mast for a new Selden mast, boom and bowsprit changing to new rigging and running rigging. He put two new Yanmar engines with Saildrives. It is equipped with Lewmar hatches and winches. The mainsail and genoa are 2 years old, perfect condition.
When we bought the boat, we maintained and upgrade the boat,
The electronics are upgraded up to date, all Raymarine.
The boat was thought to be a practical boat. Like racing boats, all the structure of the it is not covered, so any issue while sailing, can be easily fixed. Another thing, that is coming from racing boats and we love (I'm coming from regatta boats) is that all the electrical cables and systems are also not covered. Simple is always better.
We added lithium batteries, and all the systems behind it. We put 900w more of solar panels and upgraded all the controllers to Victron. We put in new trampolines, new cushions.
We splashed the boat in July. We put 6 coats of fresh Cooper Coat, best antifouling in the market, lasts 10 years. We also painted the squids sides with polyurethane, changed all the valves to new bronze Grocco valves. New seals,o'rings, oil and aluminum antifoulingTRilux 33 in the saildrives. We changed the steering cables one year ago.
The boat condition is ready for sailing, and can be delivered everywhere for an extra price.
Boat is fully operational, all systems are working, the liferaft was checked last year, and the boat just splashed. So you don't have to take it out of the water for at least 3 years.
Ps: unluckily we get by a lightning in September 2023. And some of the electronic died. The rest of the electrical system are perfect. Batteries. Windlass, electric winch, watermaker and cables.
WE WILL REPLACE THE EELCTRONICA FOR NEW EQUIPMENT. NEW AUTOPILOT AND DISPLAY, NEW VHF AIS, NEW MULTIDISPLAY I70S AND CHARTPLOTER.

The Salona was designed by J & J Design and optimized by America's Cup designer Jason Kerr. As on all the Salona models the large stainless steel frame (backbone) takes loads from the keel and shrouds and spreads them securely to a wide area of the hull. Added layers of carbon fiber on analysed areas of the hull inner liner. Performance keel with a lower center of gravity and significantly improved ballast to weight ratio. The L-shaped keel brings maximum performance especially upwind.
3 double cabins with additional 4 bunks in salon, a large nav table, L-shaped galley with 2 burner stove. Large hull windows allow plenty of light.
